The Committee has reluctantly taken the decision to postpone the Society's Annual General Meeting [AGM] in the light of the very real concerns regarding the current coronavirus outbreak and the risks to members and staff at British Steel, the Appelby-Frodingham Railway Preservation Society and Apollo Site Services. The age demographic of the Society membership puts us in a high risk category and it would be unfair both to unnecessarily expose members to risk and to deny to members who chose to opt out for their own health the opportunity to participate in the AGM and associated visits.. The Committee expects to be able to re-convene the AGM later in the year and will keep members advised through the UK Bulletin. It is hoped that the same venue and visits will be able to be offered at the re-convened meeting.
